Big Question: How do We Colonize Mars?
We need to get to mars using the technology we've made and improved and then ship all the parts to Mars ahead of us so we could start building as soon as we can. Then one we've made sure that the pods are inhabitable, then more people can come up and we start a new life up there. We keep researching and working on improving our habitat and have more and more people come. We constantly improve technologies here on Earth, so if we got the proper technology up onto Mars, then we would be able to do the same on Mars.
How will the space ship have enough fuel to get to mars? We could use efficient chargeable batteries so we would have enough energy to get to mars. The batteries would be really small so we would be able fit lots of them in our pace shuttle.
Are the rockets powerful enough to make it to mars?
Using certain materials to make the rockets and the fuel, we could have the equipment to either only make it there or make it there and back! We would have to use materials that we could create on mars.
Can the suit withstand the climate?
Using certain materials, we could use them to maybe make safe suits with manual interior cooling or heating depending on the temperature. They will probably also be wearing protective stuff under there space suits.
Can the rocket stand the pressure when landing?
With the right kind of materials to build the landing gear and rockets, we might be able to land it safely on mars without completely destroying the ship.
How long can the people be outside with their suits on?
In certain places of the planet near the pods and space stations, their will most likely be out door facilities for safety reasons. But they we be able to be outside for as long as their oxygen will last them.
How much food are they taking up with them?
We will most likely be bringing quite a bit to start out with until be find a way to grow our resources by ourselves.
How long can they last with out a resupply of food and water?
Having water and food storage and also having food gardens, we should be able to last for long periods of time. We will be growing our own food and water and also making our own oxygen.
How will you get power for the ship?
We have wind turbines and we also have solar panels that we will use to power our ships during night time and also during that day. We also have batteries just in case to power our ship
