A wind turbine uses the power of wind to create electrical energy. Wind current blows towards the face, or the front, of the wind turbine and spin a motor, which isn't a motor at this point. A motor uses electricity to turn something, while a generator uses a different source of energy, whether it be kinetic, wind, or water, to create electricity.
